#71 - New car!!!

That's right - I got a new car!

The Neon finally went kaput on 12/3, on the side of the highway no less.

I went that Saturday and got what I've been wanting - a 2008 Chevy Cobalt!

I miss certain things about the Neon - for example, the dome light control was on the steering column (LOVED THAT) and the air vents were much stronger. The Coablt is great though and has lots of features the Neon didn't. More $$$ to shell out each month, not able to save much - but I'm going to get it paid off early so I can focus on trying to pay down my student loans faster.

# 37 - Knitting

Forgot to add this one! Jenna and Laura bought me knitting classes for my birthday this year and I took the class in February. I am nearly done with my scarf! Just need to knit the final row and I'll be done. Only took almost an entire year! I'll post a photo when completed.

6. Go one week w/o alcohol 5 times
This has been surprisingly easy. At some point, I just "forgot" to drink. It just stopped being important. It simply isn't a big deal anymore, or something I need.

8. Quit smoking
Came along with quitting drinking

13. Get tested
Planned Parenthood had a get tested for $5 special during AIDS week. Clean as a whistle!

20. Visit the U.K.
This was initially visit Angie in D.C., but since she moved back, I changed this to visit the U.K., which I did to reunite with my flatmates from Australia!

40. Learn to use a gun
Got the opportunity to do this during a team building day w/ Glendale Police Department. Mike Gross & Roy Martin lead training. Shot a .22 caliber, a .357 magnum, a Glock 9 mm and a 40 caliber I think? Pretty scary. I'm a terrible shot.

67. Pay off Aunt Deb
Done! She never ended up cashing the check :)

77. Visit w/ Josh & Tony more
Got in touch with Josh a few months ago and have seen them 3-4 times since.

80. Take Bun & Mim to vet
This was done out of necessity b/c they both were having issues. Got them all caught up on their shots - everyone's in good health!

84. Dress up for Halloween
Done! I was a lame ole purple fairy, but hey, at least it was something.

99. Buy a new bedroom set


100. Make an entire Thanksgiving dinner
Completed just two days ago! WOW, what a chore! Everything was delicious. Mom did help w. potatoes, but everything else was all me :) Actually got David to come even w/ Ma here. Attendees: Me, Clif, Ma, Ba, Darci, David, his GF Shannon, Buck and his kids Silver Cloud and Two Feathers, Clif's mom Kathyrn and his neice Lelena.
